Join us for this 45-minute crash course in geocaching for beginners! Geocaching is an outdoor scavenger hunt that makes use of your phone’s GPS technology as you search for hidden caches along established trails.
We’ll go over the basics of using the Geocaching smartphone app to find some geocaches. At the conclusion of the course, you’ll be prepared to complete the geocaching trails at Duke Farms and beyond!
This program is appropriate for anyone ages 8+. Children must be accompanied by an adult who is also registered. Please dress for the weather. Participants should be prepared to walk about 1-mile on paved and unpaved trails.
Meet in front of the Farm Barn Orientation Center for check-in. We recommend arriving 10-15 minutes before the start of class. We cannot accommodate late arrivals and the class will depart on time.
