1. Scotch Plains: 49th Annual St Barts/Unico Italian Festival
Keeping the Tradition Alive Since 1974. Perhaps the best-kept secret in New Jersey is the traditional Annual Labor Day Italian Feast in Scotch Plains. The festival has been an annual tradition honoring San Nicola di Bari, the patron saint of the town of Montazzoli, Italy, since 1974. The feast is truly a great family event and has something for everyone to enjoy. There is nightly live music, rides, games, and great food, including favorites like pizza, pasta, zeppoles, clams, mussels, and calzones. - FREE admission

2. Linden: Build a Microscope
Home Depot offers a free workshop for kids to build their own wooden masterpieces. Designed for kids ages 4-12, but all ages are welcome! Dive into the tiny world that exists on the other end of a microscope with a challenge that combines creativity with the powers of observation. Students will analyze a variety of real samples using a magnifying glass. - FREE
3. Rahway: Summer Concert Series
Concert Series is every Saturday in District Park from 6pm -8pm. Tonight, DCQ performs. - FREE

4. East Brunswick: Pick Your Own Apples
Giamarese Farms is now open for the Fall Apple Picking Season. Molly Delicious Apples are ready to pick. Come roam through the orchard to pick your favorites, then get fresh produce from their on-site market. - Cost dependent on purchase quantity
5. East Rutherford: TILT Back to School Coloring Event
