1. Fords: Long Neck Giraffe Crafting
Super Skills that will be used:Executive functioning: a set of mental skills that are essential in a child's development. These include focus, attention, remembering instructions, and self-control. This lesson is structured in such a way that the kids only need to focus on each task for 5-8 minutes before moving onto the next. This amount of time is ideal for developing executive functioning in this age group.Fine Motor Coordination: using the smaller muscles in your fingers to perform a tasks. This is required in the lesson when the children assemble their giraffes. - $20

2. Roselle: Public Ice Skating
Outdoor, family skate time in this wonderful park. Skates available for rent. Skate hours 10am to 10pm - $5-$6
3. Metuchen: Parent and Me Arts and Crafts
The
ticket includes all supplies, an amazing instructor Janelle Jones, great music, a juice box and a snack. You’ll get a keepsake to take home. There will be games, raffles, karaoke, fun! - $40
| SUNDAY, JANUARY 8th |
4. Edison: Family Ice Skating
This outdoor skating rink is located in beautiful Roosevelt Park and overlooks the lake. Each winter, thousands of people swarm to the rink to experience outdoor ice skating right in their own backyard. In the spring and fall, children can take roller skating lessons and boogie down during open skate on warm spring nights. This beautiful facility has a lot to offer year round, including open skating, rink rentals and skating lessons. Skate hours from noon to 8:30pm - $5 - $8
5. Rahway: Fabulous Feet Youth Dance Nutcracker Suite
Support your local dancers as they perform this classic, family-friendly holiday story- $20-$35
