RECIPE: Mighty Green Smoothie

For an extra delicious dose of health!

This recipe is for everyone wanting to try a green healthy drink without having to hold their nose to drink it! Chock full of vitamins and protein, this smoothie is your ticket to a healthy snack or meal, without giving up great taste.  

This specific recipe has great high-blood-pressure-fighting vitamins and nutrients and contains enough frozen food that you need not worry about crushed ice. This recipe makes enough to share with your coworker, husband, or fellow carpooling mom!

INGREDIENTS

1 cup Greek nonfat plain yogurt

2 cups frozen mixed fruit

2-1/2 cups skim milk

1 cup chopped fresh kale

1 cup frozen spinach

1 peeled, chopped kiwi

2 T chopped fresh mint

2 T honey 
*** Feel free to add apple slices, and parsley to our liking - 
also exchange the dairy with juice or water if you don't like or can't have dairy.

DIRECTIONS:

- Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth.
- As you're adding the fruits and vegetables, be sure to add enough milk as you go along so that it blends well.  

- Adjust to your liking, and to the ability of your blender.
