Although we've had a pretty easy winter this year, many of us are excited for Spring. The first official day of Spring this year was March 19th, so now is the time to make sure we have everything we need for safe, outdoor fun with the kids.
Here’s a to-do list to help you get ready for kid-friendly outings. |
Kid’s Clothes
___ Check “spring” jackets and raincoats to see if they fit.
___ Check out last year’s rain boots and try them on.
___ Locate ball caps and sun hats.
___ Spend some time with your kids trying on summer shoes, t-shirts, and shorts to see what fits and what’s ready to donate or hand down to the next kid.
___ Start washing wool socks, sweaters, long underwear, and other winter clothes.
___ Wash and put away snow pants, boots, hats, and scarves, and pair up mittens for next winter.
Outdoor Gear
___ Buy sunscreen. You will need it before you know it.
___ Check kids bicycles to make sure tires are inflated.
___ Inflate basketballs and soccer balls.
___ Check the condition of water gear and toys (if they grew mildew in storage, toss them).
___ Inspect swing sets and play systems to make sure they are in good condition.
These are but a few great ideas to get you started.
Do you have more?
Please share them with us and we will add them to the list to make sure everyone's ready for a most wonderful Spring and Summer season with their family.
