It's time to decorate the house for the season!
We have a great, easy, first Fall craft, you might like to try!
Step 1 - Get Inspired:
Take your kids on a hike to look at the trees in their fall glory for a little pre-crafting inspiration. They can even pick up a few fallen leaves to use as a template for this project that will recreate the beauty of fall for your indoor decorations!
Step 2 - Supplies:
- Paper Towels
- Scissors
- White glue
- Wax-coated paper plate or plastic plate
- Washable markers
- Spray bottle filled with water
Step 3:
Cut a leaf shape from a paper towel sheet. Use a template (or an actual leaf!) to trace the shape onto the towel or just cut it free-hand.
Step 4:
Place the paper towel leaf on the plate. Use the white glue to create the vein lines in your leaf. Allow to dry overnight.
Step 5:
Use the washable markers to make patches of color on the leaf. Leave some white area around the coloring.
Step 6:
Spray the colored leaf with the water...ooohh and ahh as the colors "melt" into one another.
Step 7:
Allow to dry overnight.
Step 8:
Remove from plate and use to decorate all over the house!!! Nice and easy and lots of fun too!!!
